Time
another thing i "realized" last Sunday was that eternity and liner time negate each other, and eternity is the reality...does that make sense? No matter how long we live, or what we suffer, it is only a drop in the bucket, a molecule in the vast ocean of eternity...whoa, that sounds a little to heady for me...

Isaiah 40

And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
James 4:
13Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit"-- 14yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 15Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that." 16As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. 17So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
I think that's why we try so hard to get people to repent and convert before they die. This life goes sooooooooo fast and then it's heaven or hell forever. And that is a reality that we'd love people to think about.
People today are too busy and never take time for silence. They play the radio constantly or the tv or movies or whatever. This is a trick of satan because you can't think when your mind is constantly being "hijacked" by entertainment.
A verse I always try to keep in mind (when thinking of eternity and time, that is) is Psalm 90:12:
"Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." (NIV)
"Oh! Teach us to live well! Teach us to live wisely and well!" (The Message)

It's hard to imagine existing outside of time, like God does. What would it be like to experience everything in the "present tense"? So, God can see everything in our lives, past present and future, in His present moment.
It boggles the mind, really.
