I Didn't Go In

There was/is this problem...
a stupid money problem really...not earth shattering
and I panicked
No way out...what could I do???
How would God get me out of this one? I didn't really deserve to be gotten out of this one...
So I drove to the you know what...at least some of you know
and I sat in the parking lot, and I felt really sick, and I said "God if you show me a rainbow I won't go in" (call me gideon)
and there appeared in the sky just a splotch of color, a rainbow that wasn't really going to form...
and He said, "that's all your getting, now go home."
So I did...
Will my problem be solved? There is a 6:00pm August 16 deadline and then the problem gets a lot worse.
But it's my son's 25th Birthday, and he'll be trying to call so that I can cry with him over the phone. Pastor Art just cooked dinner and it smells good. Chris and the Romans got into a big fight on my blog. And I got a nice long letter from a dear old friend
Now I really am rambling Wes...
Did my email cry for help get lost in cyberspace????
to be continued

Pray as if ye have already received.

Desire, belief, and expectancy are the stones of the foundation upon which we build our life's experiences.

We never move away from, but always toward that which we hold in our mind.

Our communication with God takes place through the images that we hold in our mind. By visualizing the outcome we desire, we bring it into the focus of God's awareness. Our belief in God's ability to provide all that is necessary begins to add form to that which we desire. Our expectancy that God will provide honors our belief in God.

Therefore, pray as if ye have already received, and trust that the only thing remaining is for you to recognize how God has chosen to answer your prayer.

God never answers your prayer with a NO. He does, however, have many options in the way He brings you to that for which you have asked (as anyone familiar with coyote can attest).

Desire, belief, expectancy....

Mary Ellen: Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed in the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death Amen.
There - you prayed it. Now continue once a day.
God bless you!!

Daily Read,
I just re-read your comment.
I believe that vision is very important, and as far as desire goes, I think that the verse that says God will give you the desires of your heart means that he will instill in your heart that which he wants you to desire, and then he procedes to give it to you. kind of like the desire I had for so long to be a teacher. I know trust is also a very important element, and I like where you said, the only thing remaining is for you to recognize how God has chosen to answer your prayer...
But I don't believe that God never answers our prayers with a NO.
Doesn't every good parent have to say NO to his/her children once in a while. It's like the time I was whining (I like to call it lamenting, that sounds more biblical) God just seemed to be ignoring my needs...and my son told me "Mom, your praying for cookies, and God is busy making dinner."

It is important to be definitive in the outcome you are seeking. It is said that God knows what is in your mind, but the issue here is that YOU know what is in your mind, and being definitive shows that you do.
The things that we most commonly ask for in prayer should be those things that allow us to stand tall in God's light. Remember that we are spiritual beings encumbered by a human experience, so we are seeking to achieve the character traits that blend with biblical teachings, and reward us with a tenfold return of the intention with which we act. If we lovingly reach out to one, ten will lovingly reach out to us. (that might not be the best example, but you get the idea).
Praying for a new car is definitive, but I believe it is more appropriate to pray for the ability to be where I can best participate in God's plan for me...at all times. I understand what you are saying about a good parent saying NO at times, but the reason you think that way (I believe) is because you haven't learned the proper way to ask, or the proper things to ask for.

In the deepest depth of prayer, it becomes obvious that I have everything I need at that moment in time. It is only when I am trying to live in the past or the future that I feel need or want.
I'm just saying... God never ignores your needs, or tells you NO. HE has given you the Free Will and the skills to approach obstacles from every concievable direction, knowing that the answer is always there for you to find.

when my kids were young we'd play this little game, where they would want to aske my something and before they asked I would say "The Answer is NO!"
Now figure out a way to ask so that NO is the answer you want.
ie, Mommy, you wouldn't mind if I had a cookie would you? Or Mommy, does Billy have to go just now?
I still think God says NO!
